“Magic” Man: Thicke’s New Single Floods the Internets

Although the song doesn’t officially hit radio until Tuesday, Robin Thicke’s new single “Magic” has flooded the Internet. So far, reactions to the song have been positive. “I’m feeling it! Very old school, drenched with horns, and it’s got a beat that gets my head nodding and my foot tapping,” says blogger Afrobella. Soulbounce.com diva butta concurs: “It’s Thicke’s silky smooth vocals that set this bad mamma jamma off.”

The horns-filled ’70s throwback tune has the singer celebrating his magical relationship between him and his sweetheart (*wink). “I got it, you got, we got the magic, girl,” he sings on the chorus. The track is reminiscent of the ’70s orchestral sound popularized by legendary soul men like Isaac Hayes, Barry White and Curtis Mayfield.

Mark you calendars — Robin’s third disc, Something Else, arrives in stores July 1 just before the July 4 fireworks.
